Rather than bore you with a historical timeline we’ve decided to let the ultra-talented students of St Stephens Primary School in Clydebank tell the story of the Titan Crane. Their wonderful animation takes you on a journey from the completion of the crane in 1907, on to the construction of the Queen Mary, to the blitz in 1941 which destroyed Clydebank but missed the shipyard and finally on to the Titan Crane today – one of Scotland’s top tourist attractions.
